Career Development is a preparatory program for serious students who are determined to pursue a tennis career. The curriculum includes state of the art methodologies and, most importantly, embodies the special knowledge, experience and expertise of the institute's staff. Students who want to challenge themselves and who are fully committed to the learning, development and implementation of functional skill will benefit the most from this program.
CDP students will initially undergo a comprehensive evaluation of the technical, mental and physical competencies. All students will be video-taped as part of this evaluation process. Videos will be used as teaching and measurement tools through-out the program.
Individual success plans, including short-term and long-term goals will be designed using these evaluations. Each student's progress will be quantitatively measured, and both students and parent will receive periodic status reports detailing actual results in all competencies.
The curriculum for this program is comprehensive and will be delivered both on the court and in classroom settings. It is designed to expand the student's knowledge, comprehension, and capabilities in broad areas. Modules will include Historical Perspective of Tennis, Choosing the Correct Equipment, Tactical and Strategic Training, Mental Training, Planning and Preparation, Collegiate Tennis and Professional Tennis.
The Junior Development Program is for students who have made the decision to pursue a conventional education, and are committed to further developing their tennis skills.
